Based on a traditional Dresden Plate quilt pattern, this baby quilt brings the joys and delights of both sunshine and flowers to life. This individually handmade quilt features five different jewel tone batik fabrics to make up the petals of the flowers and a beautiful hand-dyed batik is in the center. Each flower is machine appliqued onto the solid white background fabric to make a stunning and practical quilt. Surrounding the large flowers is the "sunshine" - a gorgeous batik fabric that inspired the design of the quilt. It's printed flowers share the colors as the four central flowers and the yellow and orange background make the flowers just "bloom"! The entire quilt has beautiful machine quilting in intricate loops and whorls in a solid white and a lovely variegated golden orange 100% cotton thread. It even has a hand sewn amethyst binding finishing off this amazing quilt. Nothing like bringing a piece of sunshine and joy into a baby's room. Simply stunning in person.
